Regular monitoring of analytics, measurement of results and comparison with the previous period is of great importance for the improvement of work on Instagram and the growth of the profile in terms of followers, as well as other parameters that are important, which we will mention in today’s text.

 

Instagram analytics – overview of all options

Before each review of the analytics, it is important to set the time period for which we are looking at the analytics. A few years passed until Instagram introduced the ability to select a time range for viewing analytics. Previously, it was possible to view results for only the last 7 days. Now there are more options: for the last 7, 14, 30, 90 days or for the entire previous month.

Insights Overview – Basic overview of analytics

The basic overview of the analytics shows what the reach was for the set time period, how many accounts interacted in that period, as well as the total number of followers. Each option opens a broader overview of analytics.

Accounts reached

The basic parameter in this section is the number of accounts that the profile has reached through all posts. In addition, the following information is available:

  • reach by city in %
  • reach by country in %
  • reach by years in %
  • reach by gender in %

In addition to this, there is a parameter of total reach , divided into followers of the profile and those who do not follow the profile, to whom the posts reached.

Further options provide the possibility of viewing the best posts and stories, according to reach, but also various other parameters such as: shares , likes, impressions , comments , saves , etc.

Within the accounts reached section, there is also Impressions, i.e. the total number of views of all announcements on the screens.

Below this option is information about profile activity:

 

  • profile visit
  • site clicks
  • email clicks
  • clicks on the address
  • calls

Accounts engaged – the number of accounts that have interacted

Within this parameter, there is also a division according to cities, states, age and gender. Then an overview of interactions that came from followers and non-followers of the profile.

Within this parameter, it is important to make a distinction between Account engaged and content interactions.

  • Account engaged represents the total number of accounts that have made at least one interaction.
  • Content interactions represents the total number of interactions (total number of post, story, reels and video interactions). One account can make multiple interactions, so this number is always greater than Account engaged parameter.

 

Total followers

Total follower count with growth overview for the highlighted period. Below are the following sections:

  • section that shows the locations of followers by city or state
  • section showing the follower age range, by gender
  • A section that shows the activity of followers during the day or by day, for the last 7 days. It can be useful because of the timing of the posts.
