Google has announced a new feature in Search Console called “associations”. Associations allow you to connect your Search Console account with other Google accounts, such as YouTube , Google Analytics , Android apps and many others.

What does Associations bring us?
Google will provide us with more insights, information and more data in Search Console and related services. Google said it can unlock more functionality for your website. Which will be really useful for webmasters, digital marketers.
Associations is a link between a Search Console property and another entity in another Google service: for example, between a Console property and Google Analytics, YouTube channel, or Chrome Web Store account.

The effect of association depends on the type of association. For example, Google Analytics associations share your Search Console performance data with the associated Google Analytics account; Android Play Store app linking enables app indexing (when Google search shows deep links to the linked app).
Types of associations
The following items can be associated with the Search Console property :
- Google Analytics: View Search Console data, such as organic search queries, in your Google Analytics account. This feature can also be accessed in the Google Analytics property settings where you can link an existing verified property in Google Analytics. This feature will provide you with detailed insights on your Google Analytics account for organic search queries.
- Google Ads : In Google Ads , you can see a report on paid and organic searches.
- YouTube : Connect your YouTube account to the website for YouTube video performance.
- Play Console App: Associations will help you gain more insight into app indexing.
- Actions Console Project: Verify your brand across multiple platforms and enable functionality across them.
- Chrome Web Store account: Publish apps and extensions to the Chrome Web Store on behalf of your website.
Associations Console and Google Analytics will provide better coverage of organic search results. Google recommends using that option, as it can help site owners get a more complete picture in Search Console reports in Google Analytics.
