The best possible position in the search results is the desire of every business. The better the position, the more traffic to the site, and therefore more potential clients. When creating a strategy, the question is often asked whether it is worth investing in SEO or focusing on Google ads . Read more about it here. Another question that is often asked is, do Google ads affect SEO? Whether that influence is positive or negative. Especially when an advertisement is rejected or the content of the site is characterized as inadequate.

Google has repeatedly confirmed that PPC ads through Google Ads will not directly help SEO performance, i.e. ranking in organic search. Just imagine for a moment that if a business used Google ads for a certain domain, and it then affected its ranking. Not only would that make Google pointless, but imagine how many legal problems they would face.

However, that doesn’t mean there aren’t ways you can use Google Ads to improve your SEO results.

Do Google Ads Affect SEO?

The fact is that Google ads do not have a direct impact on SEO, but there are many indirect things that Google does not fully control that cause the overlap between paid and organic campaigns.

If your ads have a high CTR, that’s a strong indicator that it’s well-written copy , so you can use the same approach throughout your site. CTR is one of the official ranking factors, and by increasing it, search engines will value the content of your site more. And attractive, not to mention “clickable” titles that have been confirmed through a Google campaign, will certainly have a positive effect on the overall CTR.

People like to get attached to familiar things. If someone saw your ad and later sees your link in organic search, they’re likely to be more likely to click on it, more likely to engage, and actually more likely to convert on that page.

One of the most valuable weaves and uses of Google Ads for SEO is keyword research. Positioning for those terms and keywords that are important for your business is the ultimate goal of SEO.

One of the most important, if not the most important, segment of Google ads is that when the user clicks on the link of your ad, he comes to a page that has an excellent user experience. The page must match the description from the ad and must answer what the user is looking for. Since recently , Page experience has been one of the public ranking factors , and therefore it should be given all due attention.
