But how does <em>Google<\/em> understand text? It is necessary to be able to understand the text in order to categorize correctly. Google can&#8217;t understand the text it reads the same way humans can, but it can search and scan text so it knows how to categorize it properly.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><em>Google<\/em> has to read the text in order to find the right results when a user enters a specific search phrase. <em>Google<\/em> takes the words you type into the search bar and scans the internet for sites that use the search terms. The more words in your text that match the words in the search bar, the higher the chance that the site will rank in the search results. What&#8217;s more, we know that it&#8217;s even possible to rank for a phrase you don&#8217;t use in your text. However, there are some indications from which we can draw certain conclusions. We know that <em>Google<\/em> has made great strides when it comes to understanding context.
