In April, Google changed its ranking system documentation<\/a><\/span> , removing technical SEO factors such as HTTPS and Core Web Vitals from it. And certain claims that technical SEO is becoming less and less important contributed to the discussion on this topic. <\/span><\/p>\n

For starters, and related to the change to the ranking system documentation, Google’s Danny Sullivan indicated in a response that the terms “system” and “signal” should not be confused.
