In a blog post explaining the change, <em>Google<\/em> says that the term &#8220;webmaster&#8221; is being phased out because it is outdated and falling in use. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\">&#8220;<em>A user experience study we conducted revealed that very few web professionals still identify as webmasters. They are much more likely to be called an optimization expert, online marketer, blogger, web developer or website owner, but very rarely a webmaster. <\/em>&#8221; &#8211; stated in <em>Google<\/em> .<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><em>Google Webmaster Tools<\/em> is a free service that helps you evaluate and maintain your site&#8217;s performance in search results. It was offered as a free service to anyone who owns a site. <em>Google Webmaster Tools<\/em> is a conduit of information from the world&#8217;s largest search engine to you, offering insight into how <em>Google<\/em> sees your <em>web<\/em> pages and helping to uncover issues that need to be addressed. You didn&#8217;t have to use this tool to get your site to show up in search results, but it did offer you valuable information that can help with your marketing efforts.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>From now on, it&#8217;s Google Search Central<\/strong><em> <\/em><\/span><\/h1>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><em>Google Search Central<\/em> has the identical purpose of helping people improve their site&#8217;s visibility on <em>Google<\/em> search. The focus of content published under <em>the Search Central<\/em> name will continue to be aimed at helping SEO experts and site owners improve the visibility of their pages in <em>Google<\/em> search results. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\">&#8221; <em>We will continue to create content for all those who want their pages to show up in Google search, whether you are new to SEO or a seasoned web professional.&#8221;<\/em> &#8220;<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1607336199952{padding-top: 30px !important;padding-bottom: 30px !important;}&#8221; font_family=&#8221;Open Sans&#8221;]<span style=\"color: #333333;\">As an integral part of this change, the blog texts and localized tool pages are transferred to the new <em>website<\/em> . Email and RSS subscribers will be moved automatically. All help documentation related to how <em>Google<\/em> Search works, indexing and indexing sites, search guidelines, and other search-related topics are being moved to <em>Google<\/em> &#8216;s new <em><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><u><a style=\"color: #ff6600;\" href=\"https:\/\/developers.google.com\/search\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Search Central website.<\/a><\/u><\/span><\/em>  In the future, all archived and new blog posts will appear <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><u><a style=\"color: #ff6600;\" href=\"https:\/\/developers.google.com\/search\/blog\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here.<\/a><\/u><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\">According to <em>Google<\/em> , we should benefit from these changes in the following ways:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><em>Discover more relevant content (help documentation, localized blogs, event information) on one website<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><em>Easier switching from one language to another (no need to find the localized blog URL anymore)<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><em>A better platform allows us to maintain content, localize blog posts more easily, and format posts consistently  <\/em><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Googlebot gets company<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\">The long-time mascot Googlebot is now getting company. Namely, the refreshed design of the mascot also received a small spider as an accompaniment. The Googlebot mascot will now appear with a web-crawling assistant &#8211; <em>the spider bot<\/em> .
