In the near future, new video page indexing reports will arrive in Google Search Console . This was announced at Google I/O by Google ‘s web ecosystem consultant Dikla Cohen . The new report provides an overview of all the video pages Google has detected when crawling and indexing your site.
The report on the indexing of video pages will be found in Google Search Console , in the Index tab , under video pages. This feature is not active yet, but should be available soon.
How can this report help you?
This report shows you a summary of all the video pages that Google found while crawling and indexing your website. The report will help you:
- To see how many video landing pages (landing pages) Google has detected and how many video is indexed
- You examine the reasons for unindexed videos on landing pages
- You get a list of video page URLs that need to be debugged and resolved
- Confirm the fix to start re-enumeration of URLs that were affected by an error
Use the URL Checker tool to check the video index status for a specific video page.
